This is a FREE EVENT !
Come spend the long weekend adventuring, tubing, searching, fighting, and drinking in the glorious lands of Dagger Deep and the Quwutsun River.

FRIDAY

4:00pm Main Gate Opens
The main gate to Dagger Deep opens

5:00pm – 8:00pm Gatehouse
The gatehouse is open for sign in and registration. Players who arrive after the gatehouse has closed may enter and participate, so long as they do not use any uninspected weapons and remember to sign in on Saturday.

7:00pm – 1:00am Game Time
All areas are considered in character, except tents, cabins, the parking lot, gatehouse, and the OOC camp area.

10:00pm – 12:00pm Moonlit Adventure
Brave characters will be encouraged to join the red king as he marches across the moors of the black swamp in search of adventure.

1:00am – 11:00am Friday Downtime
Beginning at 1 am all areas are no longer strictly IC. Players may choose to remain in character all night, or take a break to rest and sleep.

SATURDAY

11:00am – 4:00pm Tubing on the Quwutsun River
This event is only taking 20 players, as that's all we can hold on the beast. Please send an email to admin@medievalchaos.ca with the subject line “TUBING!” to reserve your place. All players who cannot get on the beast may participate, but must find their own transportation from the start and finish location on the river. The tubing adventure will depart Dagger Deep at 11:00am Saturday. Players are encouraged to wear appropriate swim wear and supply their own flotation device. This portion of the event is OOC expected/IC optional. The trip will last 3-4 hours and will include many stops along the river. The tubing adventure is a no alcohol adventure, so please save your drinks for the deep. Pack it in and pack it out, there will be zero tolerance for littering in the river. The beast will meet the tubers at their final location and transport them to Dagger Deep by 4:00pm

11:00am – 1:00am Game Time
All areas are considered in character, except tents, cabins, the parking lot, gatehouse, and the OOC camp area.

2:00pm – 5:00pm Gatehouse
The gatehouse is open for sign in and registration. Players who arrive before, or after, the gatehouse has open/closed may enter and participate, so long as they do not use any unsuspected weapons and remember to sign in at their earliest convenience.

5:00pm – 10:00pm A day in the life missions
A day in the life mission, or story, is where all attending players are expected to play a small NPC role for a small portion of the mission. This allows everyone to PC for more events than they must NPC in a single evening. Different teams will have different plot, stats, and times; all of which will follow below. Everyone is expected to play at least one NPC shift during this two day event. Please let us know which NPC shift you would like to play by selecting it on the facebook poll or by emailing your selected NPC shift to admin@medievalchaos.ca with the subject line, “DAY IN THE LIFE”.

5:00pm – 7:00pm Criminals
Red and Purple guards, working with Dagger Deep guards, will haul criminals into Dagger Deep to be tried and punished.

6:00pm – 8:00pm Rival Armies
A frail runaway prince has been found and is being to be transported south back to his homeland by a group of knights faithful to their king. But not all is as it seems, a group of forsaken knights stalk the princes return and look to take his throne.

7:00pm – 9:00pm Cursed Spirits
The graveyard fills with undead of all variety. But no matter how many times they are killed they keep coming back for more. What could be bringing these foul creature back? And why do they stick so close to the graveyard?

8:00pm – 10:00pm Torrent of Darkness
Abyssal creatures stalk the darkwood and rumors abound that Lhxelts has come to Dagger Deep looking for his lost items, and looking for Kaah.

1:00am – 11:00am Saturday Downtime
Beginning at 1 am all areas are no longer strictly IC. Players may choose to remain in character all night, or take a break to rest and sleep.

Behind the scenes

Friday Logistics

Out of character camping is located behind the gatehouse. Take the trail just right of the gatehouse for easy access. In character camping will take place within the village.

Tournament Events

Croquet Match
Friday 7:00pm – 9:00pm
Simple game of Croquet. First place wins 50 points! Game begins at Woodhenge at 7:00pm sharp. Preregister to ensure you get a mallet and ball.

Bardic in the C&A
Friday 9:00pm – 1:00am
Bards are encouraged to perform. bards are awarded 5 points and 25 daen for every song they perform on stage in the C&A.

Field Registration
Saturday 3:00pm – 4:00pm
Anyone who has not preregistered may register on the day of the event at the field registration desk, located near the marketplace.

Caber Toss
Saturday 4:00pm – 7:00pm
Two cabers and a referee will be made available near Rowanoak. See the caber toss referee for point details.

Fighting Rings
Saturday 4:00pm – 7:00pm
The tournament rings will host a one on one fighting arena. Fighters will face each other with one weapon in their hand and one weapon in center of the ring. After each successful strike the fighters return to their corners. First player to land three hits on their opponent wins the match and gains 10 points, while the losing fighter is docked 3 points.

Ranged Weapons
Saturday 4:00pm – 7:00pm
The archery range will host all ranged weapons with several targets worth different points. See the range referee for point details.

Gem Hunt
Saturday 4:00pm – 7:00pm
Piles of small gems have been hidden all around Dagger Deep, from paladins grove to the tall grass. Find gems and turn them into the gem hunt referee to earn points. Different sized gems have different point values.

The Grand Feast
Saturday 7:00pm –8:00pm
A mouth watering menu prepared by One, of One's Emporium, will be served. Feast tickets are only $10.50 and will be sold at the gatehouse as of August 12th.

Pitch Battle
Saturday 8:00pm – 8:30pm
All contestants are encouraged to join in as the two highest ranking contestants chose two teams and fight it out to see who is the best strategist. Every contestant left standing on the winning side gains an additional 50 points.

The Gauntlet
Saturday 8:30pm
The top three point holding contestants must run the gauntlet to see who is the victor of the Willumarius Day Tournament. The three start on the high road and run down into Dagger Deep attempting to get a flag outside the C&A. While a horde of soured remaining contestants try with all their might to keep the runners from reaching the flag. The first of the three to claim the flag, wins.

Bardic in the C&A
Saturday 9:00pm – 1:00am
All drinks are on the house and bards are encouraged to perform. Bards are awarded 25 Daen for every song they perform on stage in the C&A.

Grand Feast Tickets
Purchase feast tickets via e-transfer, or at the gatehouse, for $10.50 each. Your ticket gets you a plate at a buffet feast prepared by One, of One's Emporium. The feast will be served on Saturday evening at 7pm in the Dagger Deep town square.Want two plates? Buy two tickets.

Dagger Deep Rules
Dagger Deep is surrounded by privately owned farm land. You are welcome to wander around and discover the many trails but please respect the land by taking out what you bring in. Dagger Deep is a wilderness campground and outhouses are provided. But, potable water and electricity are not available on site. Our hours are strictly enforced and the gate will be locked when the venue is closed. Animals are not permitted on site. Loss, damage, or theft of articles, equipment, vehicles, are not the responsibility of Dagger Deep or Medieval Chaos. Anyone intending to camp on Friday or Saturday night must be 18+ years of age unless accompanied by a guardian. Alcohol is permitted on site, but none will be sold or provided. Anyone showing signs of intoxication may be asked to leave. Any intoxicated person must adhere to the Medieval Chaos Non Combatant rules and wear a highly visible orange indicator. Dagger Deep is home to many plants, animals and people. Please respect the land by staying on the many trails and not disturbing flora or fauna. Fires are only to be tended by event staff or other designates. Campers will be charged $50 for leaving their site unclean, or for leaving refuse behind. Failure to abide by the following rules will result in possible eviction from the grounds.

"Oh look some of the self-important royals are holding court," and "Is that another ritual in Woodhenge?".
Whatever is happening, its just another lovely day in Dagger Deep.

OOC: This will be sandbox, choose your own adventure style day.
Everyone will be expected to play a NPC role of some description.
Roles will largely be decided by GM, but this is a great day to trial those NPCs that you have been workshopping, or NPCs that you loved in the past.
